The Music Was Made for the Dance

The World of Irish Dance has a relatively young history steeped in old traditions.

When it comes to teaching, Julia Bannister is certified ,TMRF, for Ceili Dance with CLRG and trained under Dance Master traditions for Sean Nos and Old Irish Step.

 Ceili  (Irish Social Dance) is part of the Old Irish Dance traditions that has moved forward in  terms of cutting edge teaching qualifications but remained timeless in how the dance is done. That means the dances have formally written instruction for both form and format. CLRG Certified teachers must adhere to the rigour of teaching standards to preserve the dance.

Sean Nos and Old Irish Step are preserved through oral tradition . Qualification  to teach comes from learning from the Dance Masters of Ireland and those who they taught through Apprenticeship. Apprentice take  the dance globally and through the ages.

Studio CKC is a fully insured, and

equipped, home-based studio. 

Traditional Irish Dance was experienced in community; town halls and private homes. In an attempt to bring back great traditions, Studio CKC aims to do the same! Note: We use community Space for some classes and events.
